Have you noticed that brass is making a comeback in the design world? Not only is gold everywhere on the runways, it's popping up in interior design publications too. While I've never been a fan, I find it intriguing these days. For me, the design has to be modern vs. classic or I think it's horrible. Lately, I've been contemplating adding wall sconces to my guest bedroom.
Currently, the guest bedroom has a big lamp dangling over the bed. While I like it because it's dramatic, it's seen better days. It's a paper shade and there's tiny brown spots all over from where the light bulb has burned it. I think sconces would be a perfect solution to the small space. Why brass? My Mom's amazing dresser (below) from when she was a kid. When she first gave it to me, I was going to switch the pulls to something silver. I'm so glad I never made the switch! What do you think? Yes or no and which one?
