Every year when Spring arrives, I purchase several new dresses for work. Yes, I wear dresses not suits. My job consists of walking around DC, going into homes that may be filthy, and searching for lockboxes in odd places. Once the weather turns warm, dresses are the only way I can look professional but not overheat.
So far this year, I've found two wonderful options. The outfit on the left is my take on color blocking. The outfit on the right is my interpretation of the neon trend. Although I love fashion, I'm not keen on purchasing clothing that's super trendy. I go for classic silhouettes with fun (cheap!) accents.
