1. Apple picking in Virginia
There are many apple orchards within a mile of DC and you can grab your fill. Stribling Orchard and Hartland Orchard are located in Markham, VA. Check their websites for the days and hours they are open.
2. Hiking in Harper’s Ferry
As the weather cools off and the leaves start to change, hiking in Harper’s Ferry is a Fall favorite.
3. Landmark Music Festival for the National Mall
If you’re a DC centric kind of person (raises hand), the Landmark Music Festival on the Mall would probably be the event for you. It’s this weekend and it’s 2 days of concerts with over 40 different performers.
