I love a good before and after. This Haywood Wakefield chair has been gathering dust at my parent’s house for a couple of years. I had hopes of using it my next place but it doesn’t look like we’re moving anytime soon. My brother recently added a few new pieces to his house and he was looking for an upholstered chair. I immediately thought of this piece and how great it’d look with new fabric. Over the 4th of July, my brother picked the fabric. It’s an indoor/outdoor fabric by Bella Dura called Scallop. I thought indoor/outdoor would work best because he lives at the beach. I love the palette of the fabric because he’s using blue, grey, and yellow in his house. I haven’t seen it in person (thanks for the “after” photo Dad) but I think it’s amazing. My parent’s found a reupholster in NC and he renewed the chair for $75 (!?!?!). I know. I need to take Everything to this guy. Isn’t it fantastic?
