It’s the Little Things

Most people wouldn't get excited about a new kitchen faucet but I do. I loooovvvveeee it and did a happy dance around the kitchen once it was installed. I know. It's random but it's the little things that entertain me.

It all started with a wonky toilet in the master bathroom. It needed to be augered. In my world, that meant I should immediately order the kitchen and bathroom faucets that have been sitting in my Amazon.com shopping cart for the last year. I'm not showing the bathroom faucet because it's not nearly as thrilling as the kitchen faucet.

The kitchen faucet makes me think of when my brother and I used to wash dishes in our restaurant when we were kids. When we started our jobs, I was 9 and my brother was 6. I would scrape/rinse the dishes, load them in a rack and slide them into the dishwasher. He would pull them out and unload them. He always whined that he did more work when I knew I really did more. But he was only 6 so I let it slide. (I love my kid logic). I immediately sent a picture the faucet to both my parents and my brother saying "what does this remind you of??"once it was installed.

Anyway, this faucet makes me smile because it's new and shiny plus it makes me think of when I was little. That's a good combo and that's why I looooove it. kitchen faucet (was super excited to save $299 on that bad boy. 'cause that's how I do it). bathroom faucet
