Hello internet! How are you? I’ve been swamped at work (yea!) but enjoying the lovely weather. This is what I’ve been doing lately:
Tuesday, I had an appointment near City Center and I stumbled upon their stellar Japanese lantern decorations in honor of the National Cherry Blossom Festival. The festival is in full swing and the city is overrun by tourists for the Festival and Spring Break. Make sure you check them out before they’re gone.
A couple of weeks ago, I noticed the new murals in the alley near American Ice. This panel is my favorite because the colors are so vibrant.
I visited Frank Underwood’s presidential portrait at the National Portrait Museum. This tickled me to no end because it’s SUCH a DC thing. Apparently, Kevin Spacey was there for the unveiling in character. I love it!
I think everyone knows how much I enjoy my ‘hood and this painting on U St. summarizes it perfectly.
