Monday, I went on a hike at Great Falls. I'm doggie sitting my parent's pup and she likes outdoor adventures.
I never go hiking. In fact, the last time I wandered in the forest was in grad school. As I made my way down the rocks to the water, I realized I live my life surrounded by concrete. I love the concrete but I need also take time to enjoy the outdoors. It's refreshing. Although it was terribly humid and I fell as we ascended, I was pleasantly exhausted the rest of the day. It's exactly what I needed to deal with the rest of this week.
