It's a well-known fact that reading is one of my greatest joys. It satisfies my curiosity and my love of learning and it's endlessly distracting.
This week, I'm re-reading two books.
When I need a laugh, I always reach for British chic lit. It never fails to make me giggle, I have a grand time imagining their posh accents and walking around London. The Little Lady Agency by Hester Brown has a fun heroine that has a mortifying family and a disastrous love life. Hilarity ensues.
The supernatural craze isn't a new trend for me. I've been a fan for years, starting with the uber-creepy Stephen King Dark Tower series. (did you know a new one is coming out soon? I can't wait!). A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness has a little bit of everything: witches, vampires, ghosts, seers, time travel, and a magical house. Sounds intriguing, right? Her next book is out in July and I've already pre-ordered it.
