Heading out to Wonderful by Robert Goolrick was a quick read. His first book, The Reliable Wife was dark, depressing and engaging. In Goolrick's second novel, there's a similar gloomy slant. I enjoyed it immensely. It's well written, the characters are interesting and I couldn't wait to see how it was going to end.
I haven't read The Casual Vacany yet. I literally downloaded it this morning when I was trying to find another title. Obviously it's the must read book of September since it's J.K. Rowling's first novel for adults. I loved the Harry Potter series. I'm curious to see if her imagination translates to adults.
I read a fantastic book last week that I wanted to feature. Unfortunately, I can't remember the title for the life of me. I checked it out at the library which is why this is difficult. (yea..when you read as much as I do, buying books is too expensive). I know the author is Asian, female and I also liked her first book. If I figure it out, I'll add it. Is you figure it out, let me know! It's soooo good. I read it in one sitting.
